Braking & Traction

BMW was one of the first automobile manufacturers to offer standard traction control in addition to anti-lock brakes in order to provide an advanced safety and stability system. Both platforms are related and controlled by a central electronic module which may need repair or replacement in order to keep your car planted safely on the twisting curves of Santa Rosa's countryside areas.

Over time, heat from the engine can interrupt the operation of the electronic module controlling your braking and stability. Does your traction control light stay continuously lit on the dashboard or is your "BRAKE" indicator light constantly illuminated? Does your tachometer or odometer periodically malfunction? If so, this could be indicative of a malfunctioning ABS module or various components related to the traction control system, such as a worn out speed sensor or ABS sensor. Autobahn Automotive has experience diagnosing and repairing this problem much more economically than a dealership. In a dealer environment, a new module is always recommended in lieu of repair of a few simple components, typically increasing the cost by more than 100%. Autobahn Automotive can assist you in repairing your module and maintaining safety while driving and stopping.
